V-DAY.

It might be a little late, but let’s say something about it. Some say that it’s the most romantic day of the year, some say it has become a festivity to increase business, some – singles  mostly – say it just makes no sense at all.

The first are right: it is so nice that everybody exchanges red cards and roses on the same day, all together. Boys take their girlfriends out for dinner or prepare a romantic dinner at home.

The second are right too: too many people buy roses just because they feel obliged to do it and business can take advantage of that.

The singles… well, I have spent some V-day being single in my life, I think everybody has, so we can’t blame them.

So where is the truth? Well, I think the truth is that V-day is a nice opportunity to remind us to show some love to the people we care the most, but we can’t only do it on the 14th February. V-day is becoming a chance to redeem ourselves by showing all the love we don’t show for the rest of the year, but we should always remember that every day is the right day to spread some love. We should act everyday as we act on V-day. The world really needs it.
